Au fost şi care nu au vrut să vorbească, mai ales dintre cei aflați de cealaltă parte a baricadei, a grănicerilor sau a autorităților acelor vremuri. Dintre victime însă, majoritatea au acceptat să-și spună povestea, deși nu le-a fost deloc ușor, lucru ce se poate vedea și în film atunci când emoția lor și durerea acestor amintiri sunt evidente și impresionante. Cătălin apostol is a film director, screenwriter, TV producer, journalist and a film directing academic. After finishing the film director studies at the Hyperion University from Bucharest, Romania, Cătălin has directed over 100 film documentaries for The Romanian Television (TVR) for the TV Series ’’Doar România’’, ’’Cu ochii în 4’’, ’’Dincolo de hartă’’, ‘’Ochiul Magic’’, ‘’Reflector’’, ‘’Dosar România’’, some of them being awarded at national and international festivals.
His previous feature movie, ’’Humility’’ (2010), was a finalist at Cairo International Film Festival and was awarded 2nd place at the HBO Screenplay Contest. His short film, ’’A good day’’ (2009) was also selected at the “Festival International du Film d'Amour de Mons” from Mons, Belgia. Also, one of his feature documentaries, ’’Valea Jiului, a ruined history’’ (2006) was nominated at Festival International de Programmes Audiovisuels from Biarritz, France and was awarded at ’’The Romanian Press Club Award’’ for ’’The Best TV Reportage’’. Another film documentary, ’’Holiday Thrill’’ (2005) was awarded ’’Jury’s Award’’ at the International Film Festival of Eco-Etno-Folk and many other awards at national and both international festivals.
